Now you wouldn’t happen to know how to go about it if I want to check if a field with a certain title exists on that list in order to enable it? I tried it, but using clientContext.executeQueryAsync seems to break and grays out all the ribbon buttons?

What if the current user has access through an Active Directory group.
Your workaround, will only check for users that are explicitly added in the SharePoint group, it will not check through AD Groups as ContainsCurrentUser does.

Thanks soooo much for this, it helped me in a way you can’t imagine, however after i installed it i can’t edit it, any ideas why? I am the admin in the server and the sharepoint farm /site….

The error is most likely due to the fact you do not have permission to impersonate the other user. Most organisations won’t let you read everybodys calendar. But there must be another way to read other collegues calendar if the explicitly gave you the permision to do so. The Outlook client does it somehow. Also the webmail url also does it:
https://webmail.company.com/owa/initials@company.com/?cmd=contents&module=calendar

Hi Quang,

But added where? In the GAC? To check if the assembly is in the GAC or not, click Start -> Run -> type in “assembly” -> click “OK” -> new window should be opened with the list od libraries that are currently in the Global Assembly Cache
